I am so happy to say that Ben’s surgery for his second cochlear implant is behind us. Anyone who has a cochlear implant or has a child with one knows that the surgery is a very small part of what is involved in learning to hear. It is the most frightening part for me, however, as I don’t like to see my kids undergo general anesthesia, not to mention, know that someone is drilling on my child’s head!
As you can see from the next post, we have been very busy trying to make sure that everything was perfect for our home inspection, so I will post more about Ben’s surgery as well as photos very soon. Meanwhile, know that he came through it with flying colors and in just 4 more days, it will be activated. Woohoo…hearing in stereo, here we come!
